Perspective Toolkit
The work “Perspective Toolkit” uses a museum tool to create new possibilities for viewing and exhibit placement. A portable, unobtrusive and – if possible – comfortable object gives visitors the freedom to adopt new and unusual perspectives in terms of viewing time, angle, distance and height. In addition, the designers are given more freedom in the placement of the exhibits, as the rooms can be used more extensively. Furthermore, unplanned perspectives allow for an individual recontextualization of the exhibition locations, pieces and viewers, thereby rethinking the work-space-viewer hierarchy. The work is intended as a prototypical design for a museum tool that is as universal as possible.
