Cutouts
An incredibly useful and time-saving practice in CAD modeling is the use of negative geometry. Especially when the same geometry is needed often and across parts I recommend using cutout-models you can just align to you part and subtract from it.
One of those applications is inserting nuts or socket head screws into 3D printed parts.
Let's say we have this cylinder

The inner bore has a diameter 0,3mm bigger then the nominal size we want to use (M3 -> 3.3mm)
We insert DIN934_M3_Press for a press-fit cutout for an M3-Nut

and use a joint to move it to the right face. We can apply any offset, rotation, flip the direction, etc. (Make sure the cutout is not anchored, as that makes the joint unpredictable)

then we just need to combine -> cut

hide the cutout-component, extrude the cutout if needed

and we have a perfect-fitting, easily printable, parametric part!
